Nature Walk Beanie

A little while ago I designed and knitted a cowl, known as the Boston Connection. As I was making that particular item I thought some of the stitch patterns were so lovely that they would also work well in a hat design.
Alas, due to the number of rows in one of the stitch patterns I was unable to use the one I loved the most, but I did not let that deter me and chose to use what I could. I was rather pleased with the outcome.
And so the Nature Walk Beanie was born!
Like my City Chick Slouch design, this beanie is knitted in the round and features some interesting textures including bobbles and slipped stitches. With a simple, rolled edge brim, this item is knitted from the bottom up.
The pattern is best suited to the knitter with some experience in the techniques mentioned above. Instructions for 2 adult sizes are included and there are 4 pages to the download. The instructions are clear and simple to understand, with rows that are worked the same all detailed together.
I used Naturally Yarns Loyal DK and a 4mm needle (USA 6) in this design also. There are 4 pages to the download and 2 adult sizes in the instructions. The smaller size fits a head size of 50 - 52cm (19.7 - 20.5'') and the larger size fits a head size of 52 – 54 cm (20.5'' - 21.75'')

I have chosen to include the Abbreviations List from the pattern at the bottom of this post, which aside from giving you a glimpse into the way the pattern is organised, will also give you a better idea of what is involved in the knitting process and let you know if this design is one you think you might like to try.
Purchase options for all my designs may be found here. From the page that opens you may then choose your preferred platform from which to view and/or purchase any of the designs you see.
