Adventology Cowl

In January 2019 I release my Adventology Scarf Design. I loved the stitch pattern so much that I also opted to design another Adventology Piece, this time in a DK weight. And so the Adventology Cowl was born.
This cowl is a versatile knit, in that you can choose to make it in only one colour, or a combination of colours. You can also vary the design to suit yourself, since the stitch count stays the same throughout. I have included notes in the pattern about how you might like to vary the design. I like to think that the top area of the cowl, while simply a variation on the 'tree' themed pattern stitch it begins with, is reminiscent of strings of beads, often draped over trees or elsewhere in the home, at Christmas. While this design may look difficult to some, the stitch pattern is a fairly simple one really. And I love the contrasting aspects of it! The 'tree' shaped stockinette work really well with the 'tree' shaped (noticeable if you look in the opposite direction) lacy areas. I think I will be experimenting some more with this stitch at some point in the future! It's a great item to have on hand and sits nicely whether under a coat or over a sweater. It may even be pulled up over the head if you left your woolly hat at home and your ears are starting to get a bit cold!

There are 3 sizes given in this Cowl Pattern. My version, seen here, (colours digitally altered in both photos, because I can - and also, secretly, because I like them better than the original!) is the smallest size, and was knit in 3 shades of Rowan Felted Tweed DK on a 5 mm needle, using approximately 291 m of yarn altogether.
To celebrate the release of this pattern I am offering an INTRODUCTORY DISCOUNT of 25% on Ravelry, until midnight on Thursday 15 August, 2019. All you need to do is add this pattern to your Ravelry Cart and the price will change. GET IT NOW!
